Small prince

Trying a lineless style. Just a quick doodle while talking on the phone with my mom. On a side note - I just updated my blog with a resume! Portfolio is going to come soon as well. Hopefully everyone is having a safe and happy holiday :)

Some life drawings

Haven't posted any life drawings in a while, here are a couple good ones that I could find for now:

(We got to draw a Disney female character in the pose of the model. I chose Nani. She was so much fun to draw! It's pretty challenging since Chris Sanders has a really distinct and unique style of drawing, but I learnt lots).

Trying out some colours, ow yeah.

Also, today is the last day of class (bring it on, Christmas!). This break might not feel like a break at all, with the tons of stuff we still need to do for our film. Regardless, I would have some time to relax and make a bunch of presents. I'm so happy. Gonna practice some more, huzzah!

Flash assignment

Hurr durr. Our final assignment for this semester, a lip-sync for Flash. The video clip is from Friends.

P.S Apparently Vimeo seems to cut off some of the frames... His hands are not supposed to look like that in the beginning. Oh well.

Just a plain ol' office

This is an old version of the background that's gonna be used in my film. We're almost in production right now, it's getting really exciting.

Monster's Inc.

Watched Monster's Inc. the other day with the boyfriend and tried to re-draw Mike Wazowski just by memory. I think I got close enough NOT :B

Happy 22nd Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

It's so cheesy, but I do hope they last forever. Love you both!

Flip flip flip

I'm having too much free time at the animation festival, so I stole a flip book and made this little animation. She turns to smoke whaat.

Zoo tiem!

Last week me and my whole classmates went to the zoo...It was awesome. We rode on the school bus, it felt like elementary school field trip all over again! But geez, animals are so hard to draw... they move around a lot. I had a blast though, I always love zoo trip and this one is by far the best because the weather was really nice and we went in the morning when all the animals just got fed so most of them are out of their cave.

Look at that Hamadryas Baboon. He looks so grumpy. The capuchins are really cute, but somehow also really vicious (?) How is that possible, I don't even.

I love 'em big butts, ye olde bear.

Dog study, and some life drawing

We currently did a dog study in life drawing class. Here is my rendering of the skeleton and muscles:

I'm not sure what this dog is (probably a chihuahua? It was a small skeleton) but i made the face looks like a completely different dog. Oh well.

During this summer I didn't do much, so I went to a life drawing class in a community centre almost every week. It was pretty good, but it has more long poses that anything so I didn't get much gestures.

I was trying to use different mediums instead of always using pencil and conte, so I grabbed some ink and coloured markers. It was a good experience, I like how it turned out.

Hey, guys...

Many of you probably didn't know, but I've always been on and off with this blog. So now, I think it's a good time to keep it alive. I'll try to update as frequent as possible, since now I'll be busy with my 3rd year film and stuff. In the meantime, have some wrestlers:
